A present for you

My Dearest Jay -
I can give you all the words in the world, but I fear it wouldn't be enough; but none the less, this is something for you - a little note, something for you to read, and maybe make you a little happier.
You are beautiful, inside and out, and despite what you think, it's not your fault. No one is perfect, that much is for sure, but don't take on the world... not alone. It breaks my heart that I can't be there with you, but maybe I can give you this - and when you read it, it will bring a smile to your face.

You're a fresh ray of sunshine in this otherwise bleak world, and sometimes the clouds come over you too - but please don't stop shining; you might not feel the warmth of your own light, but there are others who do, and I've come to appreciate it most about my day, a reason to want to wake up and try harder for myself - because you insight life into a dying hope.

Sometimes you lose sight of yourself - but never let go. You aren't alone in this world, and I will never let you be alone. It might not mean so much to you now, I don't know if it ever will - but this is a message to you, this little letter to remind you: I love you.
